Community Building
Unity and Peace require reaching out and caring for each other. By nurturing an environment of mutual support among members of the community, and between them and the institutions and organisations working together, we strive to build strong foundations for community life in the spirit of learning in order to develop a pattern of conduct and activity that helps to safeguard the well-being of individuals and communities, foster reciprocity and strengthen and reinforce the spirit of global solidarity.
Capacity Building
We believe every human being can become a protagonist for change. Our programmes seek to accompany individuals and communities to develop skills and capacities for social action. Our model is horizontal, participatory and mutual. We provide an environment conducive to learning and action. We apply a mix of working methodology to support learning: we collaborate and engage with local and international experts and grassroot organisations, provide pre-recorded videos and other resources to build capacity for individuals and groups to identify and seize opportunities to contribute towards sustainable peace.
A Learning Hub
If humanity is to succeed in building peaceful societies, it cannot remain the domain of institutions and governments. It must be embraced by the people. Ultimately, the power to transform the world begins with individuals and communities. We therefore acknowledge the essentiality of community-based action and reflection as a parallel and prerequisite to high level negotiations. With our Learning Hub, we aim to highlight local priorities, share key reflections and outcomes to support advocacy and drive change.
